Sinclair (Doc) Burgess, 73, is one of the old timers who has bowled in the Flatiron League for 50 years. He was the first to bowl in the 1972 city tournament. (I 1972 the Flatiron League was almost the oldest league in the nation)

Bernice Sack and Martha Peterson rolled a 1157 total for the 1972 crown, one pin ahead of Lorraine Widmar and Marie Anderson.

Winners of the 1972 team title were Karen Everard, Judy Burton, Diane Mahler, Carol Kettinger and Sue Venne. They shot a tournament high 2775.

Winners of the 1972 RBA handicap team event was the Paradise Pro Shop team of the Douglas Major League. They knocked down a total of 2880, had a 250 handicap for a 3130 winning total. This team, Panther No! heads the Panther League at the J & W Lanes, rolling each Thursday night. Team members include, from left, Mike Zicarelli, Harvey Kost, John Rapaelian, Lyle Santerelli and Dick Monfeli. At one time the Panther League was the Prima Vera League but under sponsorship of Al Aiello, it was changed several years ago.
